HB 375-The Time to Care Act (Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) Program Act) has
had hearings in both the Senate Finance and House of Delegates Economic Matters Committees. Neither
committee has yet voted on the bill. Please use ths form to contact your Delegate(s) and ask them to support the bill.
The Time to Care Act provides 12 weeks of paid Family and Medical Leave for Maryland employees. The program is funded by an insurance program cofounded by employees and employers equally (like unemployment insurance).
Marylanders should not need to choose between the health and work in personal and family medical emergencies.
We recognize that there is dignity both in work and in taking care of family. This insurance program mitigates conflicts between economic necessities and personal (and family) health and wellbeing.
Family and Medical Leave needs to be accessible to all Marylanders, regardless of economic circumstances.
Thank you for contacting your Delegate(s) to support the Time to Care Act.
Be well, be involved.
